Ed Rempel
Financial Planner
Ed Rempel is a strategic Financial Planner who built his practice by providing his clients with solid, comprehensive financial plans. Ed is in high demand; he has written numerous articles, trained many financial advisors and is considered the “Smith Manoeuvre” expert in the Toronto area. He has received accolades from Frasier Smith in his book “The Smith Manoeuvre” for customizing this strategy for hundreds of clients.
Ed’s financial career began as an accountant after earning his Certified Management Accounting (C.M.A.) degree in 1984. He worked in this capacity for 20 years including 12 years as Controller for Simmons Canada. His extensive experience in tax and finance gave him the impetus to launch his practice as a financial planner to help others benefit from his knowledge.
In 1994, Ed began his financial planning career with W.H. Stuart and Associates. He completed his Certified Financial Planning (CFP®) degree in 1997. Within a year Ed was promoted to Vice-President of Major Accounts. In addition to working directly with clients, he was responsible for developing training courses about mutual funds and financial planning. He personally trained 216 financial advisors at Ontario's 5 largest credit unions. The extensive research involved in creating those courses fostered unique philosophies that are proving to be extremely beneficial to his clients today.
Ed is a strategy enthusiast; constantly reading and learning all he can about financial planning and investing. In his travels, he has met many advisors and brokers that still believe in what he calls "conventional wisdom". Ed believes this conventional wisdom is a formula for poor performance and has created strategies like “Rempel Maximum” and “Debt Miracle” to give his clients the best results possible. He has assembled a hand-picked team to collaborate and strategize on each client case. They are equipped with the best training, software and processes to consistently deliver stellar results for his clients’ financial plan. Ed and Ann provide their services through Armstrong and Quaile Associates, a friendly, mid-sized dealership employing the latest technology and software to help clients.
Having become an authority on the Smith Manoeuvre and financial planning Ed’s articles and comments can be found on numerous web pages and blogs just by searching “Ed Rempel”. Ed is a guest author on the Million Dollar Journey – one of the most popular financial blogs in Canada.
Rob Hof
Financial Planner
Very early in his life, Rob began to show his true entrepreneurial spirit. From humble beginnings selling Dungeons and Dragons books in grade school, to building a leading Internet Services company and planning international data networks, his varied career has been characterized by planning and executing on niche business opportunities.

Vowing to do everything within the law to minimize his taxes, Rob began scouring the Internet for ways to improve his personal situation. While searching, he found Ed Rempel’s articles and blogs, and saw an immediate synergy.
Rob’s involvement with Ed Rempel and Associates began as a client, but both he and the company quickly determined that his passion for creating plans could be refocused, helping Team Rempel’s client base with their varied financial goals.
Rob graduated from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Communications and is currently studying for his CFP® designation.

Jaya Rajan
Mortgages & Admin
Jaya tracks our clients’ mortgages and contacts them before they come due to help them make a smart mortgage decision. She is the cheery voice that often answers the phone, and she prepares and processes all our clients forms and transactions.
Having worked in the travel industry for more than 10 years, Jaya jumped at the chance to be a part of a financial services team. Her enthusiasm for financial knowledge began when she moved to Canada with her family and had to prepare and file their income tax returns. Searching for a trustworthy advisor lead Jaya and her family to Ed Rempel & Associates and they signed on as clients in 2005.
With encouragement from Ed and Ann, Jaya decided her true calling was in the financial services industry and joined the team in 2008. Jaya works in the Administration department. She loves all that the job entails – preparing client paper work, processing transactions and of course meeting clients.
